Mick has been writing about games for a very long time, with bylines at Red Bull Games, The Loadout, Windows Report, GameWatcher, and the fondly-remembered Nintendo Gamer Magazine. Most of his best work from the last ten years was, sadly, eaten by a dragon or something.

In so far as he specialises in anything, he knows a lot about Soulslikes, RPGs, looters, shooters, and Metroidvanias.

He has also written a book, which he’s always happy to tell everyone, and doesn’t like Mario all that much, which he usually keeps to himself.

Don’t talk to him about Spelunky.

Kieran started off helping out with some technical bits behind the scenes on the site, and like a groupie invited on stage by the LLC rockstars, he’s now joining in making sweet music (reviews) with the team.

It’s hard to put a finger on what his favourite genre or style of games is; the list is seemingly random and often not following any sort of logic. The only rule that’s constant is that he doesn’t do old games, by which he means anything older than about 2007.

Other than gaming, he enjoys reading some truly twisted horror books and watching reality TV, particularly anything with “Real Housewives” in the title

Lyle Pendle has been writing about video games with the rest of the team for over five years now, despite all the complaints about his terrible opinions. Before he joined us he wrote about professional wrestling for The Mirror, where he interviewed all manner of rich muscular men. Now though he’s much happier spending every free hour he has playing massive RPGs and unique indies, and making all his childhood dreams come true.

When he’s not playing video games you can find Lyle at all his local LGBTQ+ groups and events, helping out the local arts charity like every good little gay should, or just feeding the birds with his lovely husband. Lyle loves an incredibly broad range of video games, but is always especially excited for any platformers or RPGs sent his way.

Hi, I’m Steve and I’m a platformer loving Pisces. I enjoy long walks on the beach, dangerously long Monster Hunter sessions and a variety of baked and/or fried potato snacks.

I play guitar (badly), piano (very badly) and produce various electronic music genres in my small, dark dungeon of a home studio (slightly less badly but average at best).

As far as my man-child gaming habits go, I’m big into repetitive gameplay loops, so of course my favourite games include the Gran Turismo racers, Session, the Assassin’s Creed series and the God tier The Binding of Isaac.

If you want to get me a cheeky birthday gift, which may or may not be March 8th, I’d quite like a port of Super Mario Galaxy 2 for the Switch if you could please develop, produce, package and post it to the East Midlands.
